Renew began as a friendship between a group of leaders and churches from around Edinburgh
We found ourselves wrestling with the unique challenges of mission and discipleship in our local contexts and began to increasingly see the value of learning and sharing together. There was also an itching sense that we could do more together than we could apart and that by working together with a shared vision for our region, we could see a multiplication of leaders, churches and Kingdom movement.
Renew is our attempt to follow God’s leading and work together to inspire and resource new mission in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Initially we created Renew as a space and resource for ourselves, but we began to realise that there are other leaders and churches across the region who might benefit from being part of this.
We are passionate about equipping and releasing the people of God into their unique missionary calling so we’d love to hear from you if we can help you start something new.

We are friends who trust, share and pray for and with each other. Generosity and humour mark us out.

Mission comes before church. The gospel becomes incarnate in a concrete place and with a specific people.

We are first disciples who make disciples, not leaders who grow churches.
We closely partner with our friends at Cairn Movement and Forge Scotland and we’ve been inspired in our relationship with the Underground Network.
